The neuropsychological evaluation is generally carried out by medical request. Occasionally it is done by job or judicial request, it is offered especially to patients who show the following situations or health problems:
For the neuropsychological evaluation, a maximum of 3 or 4 sessions is required, according to the characteristics of the patient and the type or severity of the cognitive commitment, each with a duration of 1 hour. Abbreviated neuropsychological evaluations of about one hour are occasionally performed.
By means of a written report, the family and the referring health professionals are informed of not only the results of the tests, but also the clinical interpretation and therapeutic recommendations for their management.
