The most significant thing about my work in the GNA is that besides allowing me to start my scientific career, I have had the opportunity to learn about the molecular and cellular fundamentals of neurodegenerative diseases and the impact they have on people. During these months in the Group I realized that to do science in our country it is necessary to adapt to the conditions of the environment and propose projects aimed at solving fundamental problems of our society. Another important aspect of the GNA is the human quality of the people who make it up and foster a very pleasant work environment.

An academically excellent group in which all its members come together to find a good for the whole community

My stay in the GNA has been really satisfying and pleasant, both for the research level and for the human component. It also seems to me that it is a truly organized Group that has a clear future projection.

The Neurosciences Group of Antioquia has allowed me to grow as a person and as a professional, it has allowed me to train in research and learn more about an area of special interest for me such as neurosciences. The Neurobanco is a line of research of the GNA that offers a complement to the clinical part to which we are accustomed and for which we are trained as medical students, it offers the possibility of knowing and correlating the clinical findings with the anatomopathological findings and in this way, stimulate new research questions in their students in order to improve the knowledge of these neurodegenerative pathologies.

It has been an enriching experience for me, of many learnings, not only in the field of health, but also in the labor field, of research, personal and assistance sharing with patients.

The experience in the GNA has been significant with respect to the accompaniment and thrust in the academic formation and as a person. I am proud to be part of the Group, and I am sure that all the members of the group, we are in a present that promises an excellent future.
